HELLO, IS IT ME I’M LOOKING FOR?

In a new series of paintings Berends dives in his childhood memories.

He uses old family photo’s and super 8 movies to create an emotional and iconic new artwork.

Working with different surfaces and materials, such as paper, canvas, tarp, pencil, charcoal and oil paint, he explores new grounds.

The work is on view at the Artist Studio in Amsterdam till Februari 2024.
